Last week, Friday 29 June, Arts Council England partnered with the British Museum to deliver a major conference for the arts and museums sectors: Engaging the Artist's Voice: Museums, galleries and artists working in collaboration.
Reflecting our new responsibilities for museums, the conference was a timely opportunity for artists, galleries and museums to join forces for one day and discuss new ways of working together.
Key note speeches were received from Dame Liz Forgan, Chair, Arts Council England and artist Bob and Roberta Smith. The programme, developed in consultation with Turning Point South East Network included presentations, case studies and lively discussion on the following themes:
Participants and online observers were encouraged to engage in the discussion online using #engagingartists.
