Wolverhampton’s Arena Theatre will host over sixty productions in its 2013 spring season, featuring some famous names and the very best up-and-coming talent. ALASKA and WASTED are just two of the shows to kick start the season.
ALASKA, a tragic-comic riot, is brought to you by the writers of Kneehigh Theatre classics Tristan and Yseult and The Red Shores. One man goes in search of adventure, freedom and “a piece of the good life”, but soon finds that the reality is no picnic. Plummeting temperatures, technical disasters (and a severe lack of any practical skills whatsoever) soon plunge our hero into a nightmarish world of extreme survival. The performance takes place on Thursday 14 February at 7.30pm. Click here for more information and Tickets.
WASTED, produced by Paines Plough, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and The Roundhouse, is a Day-Glo trip through the parks and raves and cafes of South London, where life is what you make it. The words of Kate Tempest, one of the UK’s most exciting performance poets, paint a picture of lives less ordinary in an unforgiving world, sound-tracked by an exhilarating score. The performance takes place on Thursday 26 February at 7.30pm. Age recommendation is 14+. Tickets and more information available here.
