    Apply for State of the Arts artists' bursaries - deadline 22 December 2011

    Please note the deadline for this has now closed.

    The Arts Council is pleased to announce that it will offer 50 bursaries for artists to attend State of the Arts 2012, in order to ensure that artists' voices are fully represented at the conference. 

    Deadline for bursary applications is 12 noon on Thursday 22 December 2011.

    Each bursary will cover the cost of UK travel, one night's accommodation and free attendance at all conference events.

    Who can apply

    To be eligible to apply for a State of the Arts artists' bursary:

    • you must be an artist working professionally from a base in England
    • you should not be a student currently in full or part-time education

    Artists from all disciplines can apply. We plan to select a broad mix of artists in relation to geography, artform, gender, age, cultural background and career stage. Artistic directors and other full-time employees of Arts Council regularly funded organisations or future National portfolio organisations are not eligible to apply.
