Achieving great art for everyone.
We recently held a major consultation, Achieving great art for everyone, to help develop a clearer and more coherent strategic framework for our investment in the arts. The consultation, which ran from 19 January to 14 April 2010, targeted artists, arts organisations, members of the public, children and young people and other key stakeholders.
We asked participants to consider the Arts Council's vision for the arts, the long-term directional goals that will enable us to realise that vision and our proposals for how to achieve them - including more flexible funding programmes.
Over 2400 individuals and organisations took part in the consultation. A wide range of feedback was gathered through events, meetings, commissioned research, and online.
We would like to thank everyone that supported and participated in the consultation process. The input we received will now be reviewed by independent data analysts and our framework to achieve great art for everyone will be published in late 2010.
You can still read a reference copy of our proposals using the downloadable documents on the consultation page.
