About the workshop
Artists and arts organisations are experts at telling stories within their own medium. This workshop aims to support delegates in learning to translate these skills into storytelling for digital platforms using audio, audio-visual, words or other means. It will also look at pitching your story as a critical part of making sure that the project can happen.
The workshop will aim to:
- introduce delegates to the key elements of good storytelling
- equip delegates with the skills necessary to develop and deliver good stories for digital platforms
- introduce delegates to the techniques required for creating a good verbal pitch
- encourage delegates to build links with each other during the course of the day and to use these relationships to support future activity
Who is this event suitable for?
The workshop is aimed at arts organisations, museums, galleries and artists from across England who have a developed project or idea that they want to bring to fruition, including those people making commissions for The Space. It is not a brainstorming workshop aimed at dreaming up new ideas. As part of the registration process you will be asked to confirm that you have a thought-through and viable idea to develop and this will form a critical part of the day.
