Investment strategy external reference group

Arts Council England has recently established an external reference group.  The aim of this group is to provide an informal sounding board for Arts Council England as it develops processes for the next round of regular funding decisions.

Objectives

  • to provide feedback and advice to the Arts Council on its processes for the next round of regular funding decisions
  • to comment on draft documents and advise on particular aspects of the process
  • to raise issues of interest and concern to the arts sector.

We hope that the group will provide a range of views and experience. It will not be the role of the reference group to approve or take responsibility for proposals, sign-off documents or form a corporate view on any particular issue.

Membership

The group is made up of around 20 people drawn from a range of areas including arts intermediary bodies, local government, regularly funded organisations and people with expertise in particular areas. It includes people from small, medium and large organisations, from a range of backgrounds, artforms and parts of the country.
