Activities we expect to support through strategic funding during 2015-18 will, taken together, help us to achieve the goals we set out in Great art and culture for everyoneA summary of these goals are as follows.

Goal 1: Excellence is thriving and celebrated in the arts, museums and libraries

Goal 2: Everyone has the opportunity to experience and be inspired by the arts, museums and libraries

Goal 3: The arts, museums and libraries are resilient and environmentally sustainable

Goal 4: The leadership and workforce in the arts, museums and libraries are diverse and appropriately skilled

Goal 5: Every child and young person has the opportunity to experience the richness of the arts, museums and libraries

The following plans represent our developing thinking and may change, but nevertheless we hope this information will help you to consider which type of Arts Council funding might be the most suitable for your organisation.

We are expecting to open many of our strategic funding programmes in autumn 2014, but the capital investment programme will open earlier (in summer 2014) and others will open later.

Some strategic funds will be open to a large number of organisations (for example, touring), while we would expect others to be relevant to only a small group of applicants (for example, In Harmony).
