The National portfolio funding programme officially launched on 1 April 2012 providing funding for a nation-wide portfolio of 696 organisations. Created through an open-access process, it replaced our regular funding programme, which ended on 31 March 2012.

The next three-year programme of National portfolio funding will start on 1 April 2015, lasting until 31 March 2018. Applications to the programme opened on 7 January 2014.

The application process and timeline

Applications opened on 7 January 2014, and organisations have until 12 noon on Monday 17 March 2014 to complete and submit their applications.

There are four steps to the application process, as follows:

1.    Read the funding guidance carefully, and contact us before applying
2.    Start completing the online application form
3.    Provide only the information we have asked for
4.    Submit your online application form

For more information on these steps, please explore our National portfolio 2015-18 guidance pages.

We will tell you by 1 July 2014 whether you have been successful and how much funding we are offering for 2015-16, with an indicative amount for the remaining period of 2016-18, pending confirmation of our settlement from government.
