Safeguarding and child protection policies
All Arts Council England-funded organisations, individuals and projects that work with children and young people or vulnerable adults are required to have a safeguarding policy in place. All of our funding agreements have terms and conditions about safeguarding so that the requirements are clear.
Unfortunately we cannot offer advice on a safeguarding policy - you will need to take expert and legal advice. We recommend that you contact the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), who offer a range of information, advice, training and resources for organisations and individuals who work with children and young people, and vulnerable adults.
If we receive an allegation
If we receive an allegation in good faith that children and young people or vulnerable adults may be at risk through a funded organisation, individual or project, we will contact the appropriate authorities.
Our staff do not work directly with children and young people or vulnerable adults as part of their jobs and therefore do not have CRB checks.
