U.Dance is an enterprising scheme from Youth Dance England that aims to give every child and young person in England the opportunity to take part in dance performances.

The programme aims to achieve this by creating more performance opportunities across the country, both in and outside of schools, striving to stimulate new activity where there is currently little. U.Dance currently has over 30,000 children and young people from over a thousand schools, taking part in nearly 200 dance performances across the country.

U.Dance includes a vast range of dance events, from primary school dance performances that bring together children from across a family of schools to national dance performances for hundreds of young people.

Youth Dance England (YDE) is the national organisation that champions dance for children and young people. In 2008, the Arts Council invested almost £3 million in the scheme, matching the investment from the Department for Children, Schools and Families.
