2011/12 is a year of change for the arts sector. Many organisations are taking a fresh look at ways of developing their income streams. They are thinking about their assets and capabilities in order to strengthen their offer and enable the organisation to become more efficient, flexible and responsive.

We have collated some of the resources available to arts organisations in the south west; highlighting sources of advice, training providers, information networks and intermediary bodies that could be of help to you. Arts organisations come in all shapes and sizes and will therefore need to pick and chose the information and advice that is helpful to them from the downloadable documents here.

Reshaping - Digital Opportunities

Reshaping - Business Models and Social Enterprise

Reshaping work will complement other initiatives of a similar nature being undertaken by other organisations including local authorities. These are intended as temporary resources which will be taken up, used, adapted and disseminated by other organisations. The work has been undertaken by West Mead Creative in partnership with Mission Models Money, The South West Forum and i-DAT Plymouth.

We are emphasising the importance of collaboration by offering organisations the opportunity to get together at a number of events in June and July2011 where we will share this information and identify further needs and opportunities

Dates and venues are as follows:

Monday 6 June - Knowle West Media Centre, Bristol
Wednesday 8 June - i-DAT, University of Plymouth
Friday 10 June - The Genesis Centre, Taunton
Wednesday 15 June - The National Sailing Academy, Weymouth
Thursday 14 July - Swindon Art Centre
