We have commissioned a short animated film for our Christmas message this year.
The film follows an animated reindeer on a magical journey around the nine Arts Council regions. Using photographs from each of the nine regions as a starting point, the animators added moving skies and illustrative elements, and colour-graded the shots to give the film an overall distinctive look. Camera moves were achieved by separating the elements and creating false 3D. The film also features a beautiful sound design.
The reindeer design is based on an artwork by Pomme Chan who also designed the final Christmas message, and the animation is produced by design agency INTRO.
