This fund focuses on parts of the country where involvement in the arts is significantly below the national average. We believe that everyone has the right to experience and be inspired by art and culture, so we want to transform the opportunities open to people in those places.
Audio-visual, commissioning, exhibition, festival, original work, participation, performance, professional development.
£37 million invested to date.
Applications must come from consortia that include representatives from both local community groups and arts organisations. The activity must benefit people from specific areas identified as being the least engaged with art and culture. See the guidance document for further information.
The next funding round opens later this year. Applications are invited from existing Creative People and Places consortia whose projects will end by October 2017.
