West Yorkshire Playhouse

West Yorkshire Playhouse is a leading producing theatre complex in Leeds, with a well-established national reputation. It operates a mixed programme including some of the best contemporary touring companies. A community, education and outreach programme underpins the theatre's activities and the company supports the development of new writers.

The Playhouse has developed  ‘First Floor’, which is a multi-disciplinary participatory arts space for young people in and outside formal education.

Doctor Faustus - James Brining and Dominic Hill in conversation

James Brining is Artistic Director of West Yorkshire Playhouse. Dominic Hill is Artistic Director of Glasgow's famous Citizens Theatre. This co-production will be the first time they've worked together since they were jointly in charge of Dundee Rep. We got them together at the start of rehearsal to talk about the production, and what Playhouse audiences should expect from Dominic's bold approach to Marlowe's classic tale of greed and fame.
