16 Amateur Performers Join The Professional Cast of A Bunch Of Amateurs at The Watermill

Come and join in the fun! A Bunch of Amateurs at The Watermill Theatre from Thursday 22 May to Saturday 28 June https://www.watermill.org.uk/a_bunch_of_amateurs 16 local amateur actors are sharing the stage with professional actors who make up the company of A Bunch Of Amateurs by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman, premiering at The Watermill. The amateur actors will take it in turns to perform in groups of four, twice a week. They will help recreate the Stratford Players, a local amateur dramatic company based in a sleepy Suffolk village who recruit the aging Hollywood action hero, Jefferson Steele, to perform in their production of King Lear. Acting worlds and egos collide, however, as the vain and demanding Jefferson has been misled into thinking that he would be playing one of Shakespeare's greatest characters in the birthplace of the Bard. Thu 22 May to Sat 28 June A Bunch of Amateurs By Ian Hislop and Nick Newman From an original story by Jonathan Gershfield & John Ross In association with Trademark Films Directed by Caroline Leslie Designed by Tom Rogers Lighting designed by Tim Lutkin Composer Paul Herbert Assistant Director Neil Bull https://www.watermill.org.uk/a_bunch_of_amateurs
