Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds is one of the oldest working theatres in the country. Alongside a programme of high-quality work representing a wide variety of artforms, it is a centre for Georgian Theatre. As well developing an understanding of Georgian theatre among audiences, it provides opportunities for new artists to work in an unfamiliar field alongside new work which explores similar issues or which, in itself, is inspired by the artistry, philosophy, politics and practice of the era.
