The Showroom

The Showroom is a non-profit space for contemporary art that is committed to supporting artists who have not previously had significant exposure in London before, and to taking risks in the commissioning process, testing out new ideas and methodologies.

The Showroom’s mission is to provide an engaging, participatory and collaborative art programme that challenges what art can be and do, for the general public, art professionals and their local community.

Founded in 1983, The Showroom has exhibited many artists early in their careers including Subodh Gupta, Mona Hatoum, Eva Rothschild, Simon Starling, Rebecca Warren and The Otolith Group.
