The Maltings Theatre & Cinema

England's northernmost theatre is uniquely positioned on the Scottish border and presents over 200 live events annually. It is one of the north east’s leading independent cinemas and presents live broadcasts of some of the world’s top artistic companies. Main performance spaces are the Main House Theatre (proscenium arch, raked seating, capacity 311) and Henry Travers Studio (black box, retractable seating, capacity 74). The venue also includes a bar, café and meeting rooms, and the Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival offices. In 2012, The Maltings founded Berwick Visual Arts, including gallery exhibitions and artist residencies.
