The Literary Consultancy

Founded in 1996, manuscript assessment and editorial service The Literary Consultancy aims to provide a detailed, constructive and honest critique for writers at any level. The Literary Consultancy also provides online mentoring, an annual writing holiday and literary conference and is continually involved in a number of literary events and projects, such as teaching creative writing courses, attending literary festivals and judging fiction competitions.

In 2001 The Literary Consultancy received funding from Arts Council England which enabled the Free Read Scheme. Free reads are selected via a range of literary development bodies across the UK.

The Literary Consultancy (TLC)'s Literary Adventures -- where inspiration and improvisation meet. Participants have access to world-class teaching, get a chance to work, read, listen, learn and relax in a stunning setting which will open the mind and senses.
