Great North Run Culture

Bupa Great North Run Culture was established in 2005 and explores the power of the partnership between art and sport, by using the world's largest half-marathon as a platform to commission innovative and accessible creative projects for all.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the world's largest half-marathon, Bupa Great North Run Culture has worked with some of the leading figures from the cultural world, including those based in the North East, each of whom offers a unique insight into sport, art and the Bupa Great North Run.

Bupa Great North Run Cutlture works extensively in partnership with venues and other arts organisations in the north east to present and commission film, photography, dance, drama, new writing and participation projects.
