The Dukes

The Dukes in Lancaster is a small city producing theatre and cultural centre, making excellent ‘Made in Lancashire’ plays and presenting national and international touring work, and is an independent cinema.

It has three performance spaces: a traditional ‘end on’ stage; a theatre in the round and DT3, home to the Creative Learning Department which works with thousands of young people each year.

The Dukes’ approach links all artforms – in-house productions, innovative programming, exhibitions, events, learning projects, film and the promotion of local talent and creativity, offering a unique cultural hub for audiences and participants.
