The Children's Bookshow

The Children’s Bookshow is an organisation that arranges an annual UK tour of children’s authors and illustrators. The tour takes place in the autumn and coincides with Children’s Book Week. The Bookshow also works closely with many other organisations in the children’s book world

The aim of The Children’s Bookshow is to foster a lifelong love of literature in children by exposing children to the best national and international writers and illustrators. The inaugural Children’s Bookshow emerged as a celebration of books and authors featured in Simply the Best Books for Children, published in 2003 by the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education and proved resoundingly successful, paving the way for additional tours each year.
