Bluecoat Arts Centre is the oldest visual arts centre in Liverpool and a key venue for national and international visual arts, live art and performing arts. It also runs an outreach and education programme and is a partner venue for Liverpool Biennial. The organisation houses artists studios, office space and the Bluecoat Crafts Centre. Following a major refurbishment the building is due to reopen in 2008. Our investment enables the organisation to act as a visual arts centre that commissions and presents work across artforms, including performing arts.
