Mulberry Blooms

In November 2013 we gave Shobana's research for Strange Blooms to a selected group of students from Mulberry School for Girls. Through Mulberry Blooms, a creative residency project, the students were mentored to create their own movement work from these research starting points, and explore what it means to be a choreographer. Dance filmmaker Roswitha Chesher captured the students' choreographic journeys in their own words. The film above was screened before Strange Blooms performances at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre in December 2013.
