Sadler’s Wells

Sadler’s Wells aims to provide transformative experiences through dance, to engage the widest possible audience and to expand the public’s enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of dance. As one of the world’s premiere dance houses, they produce, commission and present dance in all its forms, from ballet to hip hop. Sadler’s Wells present existing work by leading companies and artists from all over the world and commission and produce original new work from their associate artists and other artists. Their productions tour the UK and abroad, crossing cultural boundaries and attracting diverse audiences of more than 600,000 each year.

The Associates - Crystal Pite / Kate Prince / Hofesh Shechter

Sadler’s Wells Associate Artists represent some of the most dynamic and exciting talent working in contemporary dance today. For this very special programme, three of the Associates present new and critically acclaimed work. Sadler’s Wells’ newest Associate Artist, Crystal Pite, will present A Picture of You Falling – a duet for a man and a woman. It centres on Pite’s fascination with the shared narratives that live in our bodies – the familiar repetitive storylines that move across cultures and generations, and the body’s role as illustrator. Elixir Festival - Celebrating lifelong creativity

Elixir Festival celebrated lifelong creativity and the contribution of older artists. Over four illuminating days, the festival featured a range of performances on Sadler's Wells' main stage and in the Lilian Baylis Studio.
