Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance

Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance (ROAR) was founded in 2003 by a group of professional artists to establish a strong, healthy and vibrant artistic community in Rotherham.

Today it operates with the aim of providing support for artists living and/or working in Rotherham and acts as a holistic advisory centre for schools statutory bodies, community groups and businesses wanting to access and employ artists in south Yorkshire. In future, the group has ambitions to establish a sustainable independent working arts centre in Rotherham; comprising rehearsal space, visual art studios, film making and recording facilities as well as office space.
