Barbican Theatre (formerly Rent-a-Role Drama Service)

The Barbican Theatre was set up in September 1980 as a professional outreach theatre-in-education organisation (called Rent-a-Role Drama Service) touring new work to schools throughout the South West.

Over 30 years later it remains a vibrant, cultural organisation delivering a large portfolio focused around their vision to be regional leaders in the training and development of young, new and emerging theatre artists, dance artists and producers. This is achieved through the practice of making and presenting innovative, socially relevant theatre and dance of the highest quality, accessible to the most diverse audiences.
