Phoenix Square Film and Digital Media is an educational charity in Leicester with a remit to enhance moving image and new media work. Phoenix Square replaced the Phoenix Arts Centre, established in 1963 as a theatre (now Upper Brown Street) by Leicester City Council.
In 2009, the centre moved premises after a £21.5million investment project and houses state of the art cinemas, digital gallery spaces, a cafe bar and film production facilities.
Phoenix Square shows cinema from around the world, hosts events during the Leicester comedy festival and participates in the National Theatre Live scheme.
