People United

People United is a unique arts charity founded by Tom Andrews which explores how the arts can inspire kindness, community and social change. PU conducts research and dispenses advice on how to use creativity to grow community cohesion and caring environments for people across society.

PU began researching the potential of kindness to bring social change in primary schools. 19 artists in three primary schools gathered stories of positive virtues expressed through poetry, dance, song and other media and disseminating them to over 2,000 people through radio broadcasts, colour magazines and public performances in local communities.

PU have extended their project across an entire town in Kent, engaging over 3,000 children and over 600 adults in 80 public activites celebrating local acts of kindness.
