Paraiso School of Samba gives unique and guidance to groups and individuals playing authentic Brazilian samba music in the UK, encompassing music and dance tuition, and all aspects of carnival design. Paraiso remains the only organisation headed by artists from the Rio de Janeiro samba community.
Paraiso’s activities reflect those of the original Brazilian samba schools and its proximity to its roots in Rio ensures that the school incorporates the latest developments in samba. Paraiso’s programme comprises not musical tuition, but also education and engagement activities, organising charity events and carnival production, encapsulating a broad sweep of samba culture.
