Oldham Coliseum Theatre

Oldham Coliseum presents a mix of in house and visiting productions. The theatre also runs a programme of outreach and education activity throughout the year. Our investment is to support the artistic programme and core costs both for home produced main stage work, participatory and education projects.

Refurbishment Film -- Part Four

From January to July 2012 the Oldham Coliseum Theatre produced a whole season of productions at new locations while their usual theatre was closed for some essential refurbishment work. This is the fourth in a series of films about the Coliseum's refurbishment. In this film we see the company re-open their brand new theatre with a special gala production - Curtain Up at the Coliseum. Video produced by Greek Bloke Productions.

The Growing Stage at Oldham Coliseum Theatre

The Growing Stage project was set up to ensure that young people in Oldham lead on the development of opportunities available to them within a professional theatre environment. The project has run for three years, looking at development and delivery opportunities across a whole range of theatre related activities including peer to peer training and numerous community projects. Refurbishment film -- Part Three

From January to July 2012 the Oldham Coliseum Theatre produced a whole season of productions at new locations while their usual theatre was closed for some essential refurbishment work. This is the third in a series of films about the Coliseum's refurbishment. In this film take a trip into the Coliseum's building while the renovation is taking place and find out more about the logistics of producing a play outside in Alexandra Park. The theatre re-opens in October with a special gala celebration of Oldham Coliseum on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 October as well as a FREE Open Day on Saturday 27 October. This is the second in a series of films about the Coliseum's refurbishment.
