The Voyage was a major outdoor multimedia spectacle, which formed part of the official launch of the nationwide London 2012 Festival celebrating the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Voyage was an epic tale telling the dramatic story of passengers on board the HMS Olympia, a life-size cruise liner built against the prestigious backdrop of Birmingham's Town Hall.
Professional dancers and aerialists joined forces with a huge gospel choir, brass band and over 140 community performers to transform the Square and tell the story of The Voyage in Victoria Square from Friday 22 - Sunday 24 June 2012.

Produced by Birmingham Hippodrome, The Voyage launches the nationwide London 2012 Festival in the West Midlands and will be the largest free open air spectacle ever seen in Birmingham.
For four nights Birmingham's Victoria Square will become a giant film set as a life size cruise liner docks in front of the Town Hall. Highly physical dance, extraordinary aerial acrobatics, massive projections and the voices and bodies of hundreds of singers and performers will colour the Square from Thursday 21 -- Sunday 24 June.
The Quest rehearsals continued to be captured on film by the students of the Warwickshire College Extended Diploma in Television and Film Production. These clips show the different Quest groups rehearsing in weeks 3 and 4.
The students from the Extended Diploma in Television and Film Production Course at Warwickshire College have been filming the students taking a part in Quest. The have captured the first 2 weeks rehearsals from all the different community groups taking part.
Motionhouse's Quest rehearsals for The Voyage have been well underway since March. Film students from Warwickshire College's Extended Diploma in Television and Film Production Course were on hand to capture these rehearsals. The music is not from the original show and was supplied by the students and lecturers from Warwickshire College.
