Final NEC rehearsals of The Voyage

William Fallows films the final rehearsals for The Voyage at the NEC before we headed over to Victoria Square. Rehearsals involved Motionhouse, Legs On The Wall and the Quest Community Groups.

The Voyage by Motionhouse and Legs On The Wall. Trailer by Logela Multimedia.m4v

The Voyage was a major outdoor multimedia spectacle, which formed part of the official launch of the nationwide London 2012 Festival celebrating the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Voyage was an epic tale telling the dramatic story of passengers on board the HMS Olympia, a life-size cruise liner built against the prestigious backdrop of Birmingham's Town Hall. Professional dancers and aerialists joined forces with a huge gospel choir, brass band and over 140 community performers to transform the Square and tell the story of The Voyage in Victoria Square from Friday 22 - Sunday 24 June 2012. Created by Motionhouse in conjunction with Australian physical theatre company, Legs On The Wall, with film projections courtesy of Logela Multimedia and produced by Birmingham Hippodrome The Voyage was our most ambitious production to date.

The Voyage by Motionhouse and Legs On The Wall features on BBC 1 Midlands Today.m4v

One of the largest open air performance spectacles ever to be seen in Birmingham, The Voyage launches the London 2012 in the West Midlands from Thursday 21 June 2012.
