Inventor Trevor Olsson uses Horncastle Technology Hub to build training device

Lincolnshire inventor Trevor Olsson has used the equipment at the Horncastle Technology hub to build a training device which, when connected to a Raspberry Pi, can help primary school teachers and young children to learn about the basics of computer programming. Vince Cable launches Lincoln's Energy from Waste facility

Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable, officially launches the Energy from Waste facility in North Hykeham, Lincolnshire. The plant has so far processed 123,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste and produced 58,000MW of electricity - enough to power 26,500 homes. The official launch of Mablethorpe Technology Hub

Mablethorpe Technology Hub's new home at the Mablethorpe Business Centre was opened to local school children and businesses to learn from what digital equipment is on offer at the facility. Executive Member for Economy, Cllr Colin Davie, was present to see the equipment in action and give his views on the direction of new technologies in the county.

Linda the robot starts work at The Collection in Lincoln

Strands project robot 'Linda' introduces herself as her public test begins at The Collection in Lincoln. Having previously won a 'robot marathon' competition during EU Robotics week 2013, she is running at the museum to see how she copes in a public environment. The four-year project is almost half way through to create an autonomous robot that can help in security and healthcare applications.
