    Kendal Arts International

    Kendal Arts International (KAI) is a not-for-profit company established in 2006 to produce and promote world-class outdoor arts events and festivals in the Lake District, from the likes of street theatre to large-scale outdoor performance and outdoor arts installations. KAI works with Manchester International Arts to deliver festivals and is a member of the Independent Street Arts Network and of Without Walls, a consortium of outdoor arts festivals.

    Between 2006-8 KAI drew thousands of people to Kendal for a weekend of international quality street arts during their Mintfest event. Other projects have included the WOW Factor on the shores of Windermere and Lakes Alive (piloted in 2008), a series of events across South Lakeland.
