The Inbetween Time Festival first emerged as part of Bristol gallery Arnolfini’s Live programme in 2001, helping to build a vibrant community of performance art in Bristol throughout the intervening decade. Acting as a platform for Bristol artists to showcase their art to international audiences, the festival retains its close collaboration with the Arnolfini gallery, despite its independent character. The festival has grown in reputation from its founding into an international celebration of originality, wit and defiance, producing some of the south west’s most important artistic achievements.
