Gecko is an international physical theatre company based in the UK. Artistic Director Amit Lahav founded Gecko in 2001 with the help of collaborator Al Nedjari, after being inspired to explore a new brand of theatre while working with leading national and international theatre makers, such as David Glass and Steven Berkoff in the 1990s. Together, the fledgling practitioners developed a thrilling style of theatre through the process of devising their productions and leading workshops in physical theatre.
Gecko has since toured its four acclaimed productions across 20 countries and, with our funding, the company are set to become renowned international practitioners in ground-breaking physical theatre.
