Ex Cathedra is a professional choir based in Birmingham. The choir commissions new works and performs contemporary work in the West Midlands, on tour and in recordings. A growing programme of work in schools and training for young people runs alongside the performances.
Ex Cathedra and G4S: Singing Medicine at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital
Ex Cathedra has partnered with G4S to bring singing to children at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, through our project Singing Medicine. G4S is the provider of facilities management services at the hospital has donated £5,000 for the choir so that children in the hospital for long or extended periods can experience the wide ranging benefits of singing through singing games.
