The Big Dance Pledge 2013 hopes to build on the excitement and positivity created by Big Dance 2012 and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Our hope is that this year's Pledge will encourage and motivate people across the UK and the world to make dance a bigger and more enriching part of their lives.

English National Ballet's dancers turn choreographers when five of them get a chance to create ballets in collaboration with students from the Royal College of Music who provide the music.
The finished pieces will be performed by English National Ballet artists to music recorded by students of the Royal College of Music at The Place, London.

Float Dance is a short film produced in response to Dance in Focus- a dance and photography project presented by English National Ballet, West London Hub for Big Dance 2012. Big Dance 2012 was launched on Friday 18 May with 200 dancers of all ages coming together to perform in a variety of dance styles in a secret pop-up performance at Westfield Stratford City and Westfield London. Shhhh...It's a Secret was an ambitious project developed by English National Ballet and East London Dance, directed by world renowned choreographer, Andre Gingras (Dance Works Rotterdam) and choreographed by a team of dance artists led by English National Ballet Creative Associate Laura Harvey. 200 dancers aged 9 - 90 years performed the 7 minute pop-up performance at the 2 Westfield sites attracting intrigue and interest from the passing shoppers. The BBC have been following Dance for Parkinson's for the whole of the Autumn term, interviewing participants, experts, and the Learning team.
The programme was broadcast at 7.30pm on BBC 1 and features English National Ballet's groundbreaking work with Dance for Parkinson's. The result of this is a 10 minute film being featured on the London News programme, Inside out, this Monday 16 January at 7.30pm on BBC One.
