Eclipse Theatre Company Ltd

Eclipse theatre was founded in 2003 as an Arts Council England initiative in partnership with a consortium of regional theatres. Eclipse sought to redress the absence of Black Theatre in the regional mid-sized touring network, building a reputation for high quality performances of Black British orientated theatre that engaged new and established audiences alike.

As the only black-led national touring company delivering an annual middle-scale tour to regional theatres, Eclipse is committed to raising the profile of Black British theatre and practitioners and to broaden the diversity of work on offer for new and existing audiences in Regional Theatre, forming partnerships with regional theatres that share its values.
