Dash Arts is a theatre, visual arts and music organisation founded in 2005, when the company launched a season of contemporary art forms from the Middle East, the US and Europe.
Though a British organisation, it is a company with global outlook: commissioned by the British Council, Dash Arts toured an ambitious pan-Indian production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream around the world in 2007 and 2008.
This global character forms part of its creative vision; to challenge conventional conceptions of world cultures; to imbue appreciation of world artists by bringing them into contact with UK practitioners and audiences
The company also seeks to engage young people, drawing out their innate creative abilities and to bring audiences at different social levels together in engaging with adventurous and contentious work through active participation initiatives.
