ThickSkin's The Static
Wed 26 - Fri 28 Sept 2012 at The Core, Corby
A kinetic coming-of-age story about desire, guilt and mind over matter.
A group of young people aged 9-14, with little or no experience of film-making before, worked for 4 days at The Core at Corby Cube to create this short film. They were responsible for all aspects of the creation; from the initial idea, to choosing the camera angles, to setting up the shots and editing. They even managed to create all of the original music that is featured. All of this was done under the direction and guidance of film-maker Martin Steed.
The film examines the imagination of one young lady as she creates 'The Book' where the characters magically come to life.
