Where's Teacher?

"Where's Teacher" is a site-specific piece, written and performed by members of one of our youth theatre companies, Young REP Juniors. This recording shows the piece being performed to an invited audience of family and friends. The audience then took part in the "Are you smarter than a Young REP Junior" quiz that was compiled by the cast. "Where's Teacher?" centres around a primary school class worrying when their teacher suddenly leaves the room. After waiting for 15 minutes the class started to discuss what fate may have befallen their teacher; theories started off small with the suggestion that she might have been involved in a photocopier accident. However, their ideas started to get crazier and crazier until they manage to convince themselves that the world had suffered a zombie apocalypse and that they were the last humans on earth.
