From the open auditions, 10 semi-finalists will be chosen in each city. Through profiles set up for each of them on the 'Just Talent...' website, each act will be given a fact sheet on PR and marketing and need to encourage people to vote for them. These 80 semi-finalists will be invited to return and perform at a showcase event within their city in April, in front of the 4 judges and a small audience. The judges will choose one overall winner per city, taking into account the voting that has taken place prior to the event. The 8 finalists will be invited to attend a development weekend during May half-term where they will receive vocal coaching, take part in stage presence workshops, and rehearse with a live band. This will prepare them for the Grand Finale in London where the 8 finalists will perform to an audience of 500 people. Urban Classic is a ground breaking concept bringing together Urban music with Orchestras it is the brainchild of Bigga Fish and Serious who have been working in partnership with the BBC Symphony Orchestra over 2012 to make something truly spectacular. This video charts our story from the early days of the workshops writing the music, through to the sold out performance at the Barbican resulting in the very first time classical music has ever been broadcast on BBC Radio1! The video finishes with an epic show for 12,000 people as part of the Olympics festival run by Create, where Ed Sheeran makes a surprise appearance alongside Devlin, Fazer, Ms. Dynamite, Skepta and BBK.
