The Bhavan Centre is dedicated to developing Indian art and culture, providing courses in 24 different subjects including music, dance, languages, yoga and drama, as well as an annual summer school. The Centre offers a degree course in Indian Classical Music, in association with Trinity Laban. The Bhavan Centre also presents a programme of concerts, often featuring renowned artists from India. As well as the main concert hall, there is a gallery space and bookshop at the Centre. Our funding contributes towards core costs.
A special collaboration featuring the Sitar and Electronic Guitar, as part of Bhavan's Bhinna Abhinna music series.
This time Bhavan's Sitar guru Sanjay Guha, performed with renowned Electronic guitarist Deirdre Cartwright in this afternoon of superb experimental music.

This play was commissioned especially for the Alchemy Festival 2013 by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in London. The original play written in Kannada was translated into Sanskrit by Dr HVS Shastry.

A beautiful art gallery for art exhibitions, a wonderful 300 seater auditoriium, providing the stage for many legends of the sub-continent. These have included, Sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, South Indian vocal legend Dr M.Balamurali krishna, Begum Parveen Sultana, Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Pandit Jasraj and Ustad Rashid Khan, to name a few.
The Bhavan is going from strength to strength, as we put on more diverse shows, dramas, exhibitions. On top of that we are welcoming more and more people through our doors every day, be it in the form of our students or audience.
