You've submitted your application. What happens next?

The information included on these pages includes an outline of what happens after you have submitted an application to Grants for the arts. For complete details, please read the How to apply guidance.

Once you have submitted your online application you get an auto confirmation email. This will be sent to the email address which you used to log into the portal. The email will include a PDF copy of your application for your reference.

We will complete our eligibility check within 10 working days of receiving your application. If you have not heard from us within this time you can contact us at enquiries@artscouncil.org.uk, or on 0845 300 6200.

When we will reach a decision

  • we need six weeks to process applications for £15,000 and under, and
  • 12 weeks for applications for more than £15,000

If we are not able to meet our published turnaround times we will let you know in  writing as soon as we can.

Once a decision is made

Once we have made a decision, we will write to you to let you know the outcome of your application.
