Fifteen large capital projects have been awarded grants so far. A total of £61,357,795 has been awarded to date. The remaining successful stage one applicants are continuing to develop their stage two applications.

East
High House Production Park
Award: £1 million
In partnership with Acme Studios, High House Production Park plans to develop more than 40 new affordable artist studios, providing high quality spaces for artists, including work/live, workshop, project and private spaces, on the Production Park site in Purfleet, Thurrock.
London
Art Services Grants Ltd (SPACE Studios)
Award: £1,266,175
SPACE Studios is England's largest studio provider for visual artists with a community of over 700 studio artists across 19 sites in London. This project will bring four core buildings within the SPACE Studios estate up to standard. Reducing on-going maintenance needs, retain and diversify artist tenants and reduce energy costs.
Contemporary Dance Trust
Award: £581,518
This grant will help deliver energy savings of at least 28.5 per cent through improvements to heating and building management systems, energy efficient lighting and replacement windows. This will improve the physical environment of the theatre and allow greater flexibility through an air-conditioning upgrade and new seating and to future-proof the theatre against changes in Health and Safety legislation through the construction of two new catwalks.
English National Opera
Award: £2,154,651
The project includes refurbishment and replacing and upgrading essential technical equipment, including backstage improvements and the purchase of performance-critical equipment. It will improve conditions for artists and crew, bring technical capability up to international standards to enable greater international partnerships, and increase resilience and sustainability.
National Theatre
Award: £17.5 million
Proposed NT Future project to open up its South Bank building, creating new opportunities for public participation. Key aspects include a new learning centre, access to backstage areas, modernised facilities for artistic and digital innovation, more welcoming public spaces and significant improvements in environmental and financial sustainability.
Royal Opera House
Award: £10 million
A programme of improvements over four years to maintain, repair and modernise stage and rehearsal facilities, as well as its digital capacity. This will enable the organisation to increase its artistic, financial and environmental sustainability.
The Roundhouse
Award: £755,907
The money will be spent on improvements to the Roundhouse's facilities which will mean that it is able to reduce its running costs as well as the building's environmental impact. Enhancements to the Roundhouse's creative centre for 11-25 year olds and the upgrading of digital platforms will ensure that it is in a position to continue to offer relevant courses and opportunities for young people.
North East
National Glass Centre
Award: £750,000
This project will refurbish and remodel the National Glass Centre, opening up the existing layout to provide better navigation around the building and more flexible gallery space. This will support the centre to deliver a richer programme of exhibitions and displays, benefitting artists and increasing visits.
South East
Chichester Festival Theatre
Award: £12 million
To transform its premises through the RENEW project, which looks to refurbish and extend the existing front of house and backstage areas, improve access, and increase capacity. The company plans to continue to build on its recent artistic and trading success, and to produce high-quality, internationally significant work.
New Theatre Royal Trustees (Portsmouth)
Award: £750,000
For the restoration of the stagehouse of the Grade II* listed Theatre Royal destroyed by fire in 1972 which will re-establish the theatre as a strong touring venue. In partnership with the University of Portsmouth, a new creative learning space will support the expansion of their education and outreach programme.
South West
Stroud Valley Artspace
Award: £510,000
The Stroud Valleys Artspace's (SVA) provides open access, low-cost artist workspace and creates opportunities for arts engagement and participation for a diverse range of people in Gloucestershire. This funding will go towards the final refurbishment phase of their existing premises including a new, street-facing exhibition space and refurbished open-plan studios and new media training equipment.
Theatre Royal Plymouth
Award: £5,000,000
To refurbish the Theatre Royal, including a front-of-house extension, access improvements and the replacement of equipment. The project will enable a broader artistic programme and a 30 per cent increase in Creative Learning participation, significantly improve front-of-house accessibility and audience circulation, and enhance resilience through reduced energy costs and increased income generation opportunities.
Yorkshire
The Art House
Award: £1,533,544
The organisation, which helps disabled and non-disabled artists achieve equal access to visual arts opportunities, plans to create 33 new accessible spaces through the conversion and refurbishment of the adjoining Drury Lane Library, reconfiguring the current building to accommodate all artists and user groups.
Square Chapel
Award: £3,953,500
To develop their sustainability through contemporary extension to their existing building, leading up to the adjacent Piece Hall with a focus on meeting increasing demand from regional audiences and participants. This extension will house a new multi-purpose auditorium, a café/bar, an upgrade to visitor facilities to accommodate increased audiences, and level access throughout - linking the new auditorium to the existing Square Chapel building.
York Museums Trust
Award: £3,500,000
For the refurbishment of York Art Gallery to provide increased display space for contemporary work including establishing the Centre of British Studio Ceramics. The expanded gallery will have increased capacity to welcome more visitors to a greater range of exhibitions and content.
