Your proposal must be no more than 2,000 words across all three of the criteria listed below:
1. Quality - an outline of how the activity will support your artistic development (maximum of 500 words)
- What do you plan to do?
- Is there a clear artistic rationale for your proposal? Why do you want to do this?
- What is the track record of you and your partners in the host country?
- How will this award support your artistic development?
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate recognition of their work in England through evidence of commissions, performances, publication, exhibitions and public display. You may attach this as additional information
2. Viability - an outline of what you have planned and how you will do it (maximum of 1,000 words)
- Do you have a schedule of planned activity?
- Is there evidence of commitment from your partner organisations/artists in the host country? Applicants should supply evidence of initial research in country contacts. You are also required to attach a letter from your host partner confirming their commitment
- Does the proposal have the support of the in-country British Council arts team? We will be asking for assessment comments from the British Council in-country arts team but you do not need to obtain their support as part of your application
3. Relevance - details of why you want to work with your chosen partner and the country they are in (maximum of 500 words)
- What will working with this partner bring to your artistic development and/or developing your audience in the future?
- What is interesting about working in this country?
