Sharing information with companies
'I've put together an information sheet to send to visiting companies to give them a picture of the marketplace they are touring to. After all, the company has the knowledge of its product and the venue has the knowledge of the marketplace. It makes sense to share this information to the benefit of all involved. Some of the people we deal with have never set foot this far north. This is the information I think they need:
- population
- potential number of theatregoers
- audience
- postcode breakdown
- audience research results by artform
- main theatres in Edinburgh
- department structure
- main Scottish publications we advertise in
- main Scottish radio stations we would advertise on
- outdoor advertising costs
- distribution costs
- mailing house costs
- front of house display costs'
