About us
Interact
Working in partnership with key regional and international agencies Arts Council England’s Interact initiative will deliver 28 artists’ placements in innovative industry contexts.
The aim of the initiative is to increase the professional, social and economic status of the Individual Artist by brokering otherwise unavailable opportunities for artists to carry out research and develop skills and expertise within innovative industry contexts while also offering the opportunity to experiment and reflect.
The initiative responds to an identified need for increased investment in Research & Development opportunities for artists and will also create the opportunity for Arts Council England to:
· explore how artists work in industry contexts
· observe the benefits to host agencies
· further our understanding of knowledge transfer between the arts, academia and industry and how best to facilitate this
· and make recommendations that inform policy and position Arts Council England as an effective, and proactive, agency within the development of the Creative Industries.
