Sedgemoor
Sedgemoor, Seed
Project partners: Homes in Sedgemoor (Lead), Community Council for Somerset, Bridgewater Senior Citizens Forum, Bridgwater Town Council and Young Somerset.
Adopting the name Seed for the programme, Sedgemoor’s Consortium aims to demystify and grow the arts in Sedgemoor with the strong belief that local people and what is important to them truly matters, and that this should be the basis for future investment. They will deliver a programme of activities that make creative connections and provide opportunities for everyone in the communities of Sedgemoor to participate in arts and cultural activities, with a focus on reaching and including those who have little previous engagement with the arts.
New Forest
New Forest, Culture in Common
Project partners: Energise Me (Lead), The Handy Trust, Folio, New Forest District Council, New Forest National Park Authority.
Culture in Common aims to develop a thriving community-driven arts scene that connects and celebrates the disparate communities of the New Forest District. The programme will learn from, inspire and enable communities to enjoy, commission and create their own artistic opportunities. Culture in Common’s vision is to spark cultural engagement across the District through a sustainable and inclusive cultural offer led by the people who live there. Communities that were previously least engaged with culture will become powerful advocates and support others to enrich their lives through creativity and culture.
